In decision making and psychology, decision fatigue refers to the deteriorating quality of decisions made by an individual after a long session of decision making. It is now understood as one of the causes of irrational trade-offs in decision making.


For me, and I talked about this a few days when I was doing an interview on the podcast 10-minute Mindset with Mario Porreca - 10 Minute Mindset.

Yes, I referred to gratitude and appreciating the small wins, but the same can be said when wanting to overcome decision fatigue.

As when I was a child decision where made for me thus I had simplicity. When I was an athlete, I had structure and planning (I had my whole year mapped out).


And finally, where I am today, with business and life, this now where I have the greatest struggles with decision fatigue because you don't think things are quite ready to be put out there, it is 'perfect enough'.

- Plan daily decisions the night before. There will always be decisions that pop up each day that you can't plan for


- Do the most important thing first


- Stop making decisions


- If you have to make good decisions later in the day, then eat something first.


- Simplify
