The Mindset Athlete Podcast

Dec 13, 2017

In today's episode of the Mind Set Game Podcast, I sat down with Dr Kevin Chapman.

He summarised the episode in these words:  "Playing sports comes down to being more skilled mentally than physically - at the end of the day and what separate great athletes from good athletes is being to perform in the clutch and regulate their emotions when they are playing and able to utilise mental skills in key moments…"

Kevin was an accomplished two-sport athlete at Centre College where he was an all-conference performer in both football and track and field.

He was an Associate Professor at the University of Louisville and Director of the Center for Mental Health Disparities, until he decided to devote his time primarily to clinical practice. He is also the sport psychologist for Louisville City FC.

Dr. Chapman was a Psychologist for the University of Louisville Athletic Department Sports Performance Team where he assisted both individuals and teams in performance enhancement through teaching mental toughness, enhancing self-talk, mental imagery, and other sports performance skills.
